Eva is an artist and animator who loves to make people laugh. Her wacky characters and bizarro worlds collide to create uncanny and distinctive pieces. Her interest in animation history and ‘90s cartoons influence her work both conceptually and technically as she brings traditional 2D hand-drawn techniques into digital worlds. Her work seeks to explore the parallels between horror and comedy by combining disturbing imagery and ideas with more traditional cartoonish methods. She’s currently an assistant professor of animation at UMBC in Baltimore, Maryland. Eva is also a ventriloquist and puppeteer.
